Continental Steel & Tube supplies an extensive selection of seamless and welded titanium in various grades and sizes. We maintain a catalog of titanium tubes and can supply them in additional grades and dimensions as well. We also offer special production for large quantities.
Titanium tubing is widely used in manufacturing and industrial processes, and for components in aircraft, heavy duty vehicles, and a range of specialized equipment. Titanium is valued for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and high tensile strength, corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, and light weight. These properties make it an excellent choice for applications that require durable tubing for transporting fluids, exposure to chemicals, corrosives, and saltwater, and heat transfer.

Seamless vs. Welded Titanium Tubes: Key Benefits for Your Application
There are two primary methods of forming titanium tubes, and how they are formed relates to how they are suited to different applications.
- Seamless Titanium Tubing. These are formed by heating a solid billet of titanium and extruding or piercing it with a mandrel to form the tube shape. Once the basic tube shape is created, it may be rolled or drawn through dies to achieve its final shape and dimensions, then cut to length. The absence of a welded seam gives the tube improved uniformity, strength, and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for high-temperature and high-pressure applications in harsh conditions.
- Welded Titanium Tubing. Welded tubes are formed by bending and rolling a sheet of titanium, then connecting the long edges and TIG welding them together, which creates a seam, then cutting it to length. The process is usually faster than seamless manufacturing, and welded tubes are often available in larger diameters. As a result, they can be more cost-effective for some applications. Welded tubes are often used for transporting fluids, as architectural elements, and in construction and industrial applications.
Both welded and seamless titanium tubes are available in various titanium grades, diameters, wall thicknesses, and lengths. Explore our available titanium grades on our website.
Common Industrial Applications of Titanium Tubing
Titanium is a preferred material in many industries due to its high corrosion resistance, strength-to-weight ratio, and high melting point. Titanium tubing is widely used in these industries and applications:
- Aerospace
- Architectural
- Automotive
- Chemical Processing
- Heat Exchangers
- Marine
- Medical
- Military and Defense
- Oil and Gas
- Power Generation
