Meet the Team
Don Ascione has been working in the steel and metals business since 1965. His expertise in all parts of the metals business is unparalleled.While on summer break from attending Ohio State University and later, Youngstown State Universtity, Don started working in the warehouse of a Youngstown, OH Steel distributor. He worked closely with every facet of the business from the warehouse to the office.
After graduating he became the Operational Manager of that company.
In 1971 he and a partner started their own steel warehouse in Cleveland Ohio. They had a full carbon steel slitting operation.
With the cold weather and snow being a constant aggravation in Northeast Ohio. Don made a move that years later would be made famous by Lebron James in his words “I’m going to take my talents to South Beach.” Well, almost to South Beach, 34 Miles North of there .
Don Ascione started Continental Steel and Tube in 1985 in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Since then Don has grown the company into a multimillion dollar business and supplies material not only to South Florida, but has developed the company in to distributing metals World Wide.

Adam Ascione grew up around the Steel Business in North East Ohio – his father, Don Ascione, was owner of a steel warehouse in Cleveland Ohio when Adam was born.
Don Ascione moved to Florida in the mid 1980’s and started Continental Steel & Tube in 1985. Adam graduated college and pursued other interests as an internationally touring musician.
After 12 years of traveling to over 45 countries to play music, Adam wanted to settle down and dedicate his life to his family. He joined Continental Steel and Tube in 2008. He was a quick study and has worked closely with Don to understand the ins and outs of the steel industry.
In 2014 he became President of Continental Steel & Tube and works with pride to maintain the integrity of the family business as well as progress the Continental Steel & Tube through the ever changing Steel Market.

Bob has worked for Continental Steel & Tube for about 7 years now, although he brings 35 years of industry experience to the table.
When he’s not helping customers get high quality materials, Bob is an avid athlete, and can be found on the tennis court or the golf course.

Andrea has worked at Continental Steel & Tube for over five years. After attending school at Florida International University, she began working in the Aerospace Industry, selling parts for military planes. Her knowledge in the field made her a perfect fit for Continental Steel & Tube.
When she’s not working, Andrea likes to spend as much times outdoors as possible. She enjoys running, hiking, and basically anything that gets her outside and moving!
Accountant – Utility Employee Extraordinaire
Megan has worked for Continental Steel and Tube for about 2 years after receiving her MBA from University of Phoenix.
In her spare time, she is an accomplished baker and cook, and loves to be on the water.
After working for 15 years in the Healthcare Management Industry, Dana decided to take her skills to Continental Steel & Tube. She admired the company for its quality business practices, great reputation, and is excited to learn more and more about this new (to her) industry.
In her free time, Dana enjoys spending days outdoors, especially on the water. She loves boating, travelling to the keys, snorkeling and swimming.
A French Native, Maggie speaks French, English and Spanish. She has a Master’s Degree from ESCE in Paris.
Someday soon, she hopes to be an American Citizen and is a specialist in customer relationship and management software.
